Lemon yellow is a barium chromate with the molecular formula BaCrO4.It is a water-soluble synthetic pigment. Bright and tender yellow, it is a single color variety.
Decomposes in acid and alkali. The speed of light of the pigment is quite fast, but due to the reduction of chromate ions to chromium 3+ ions, its color will change to grayish green over time.
