Peptide dioxide

Description

Compounds formed by condensation of two amino acid molecules are called dipeptides. In a broad sense, dipeptides include chain dipeptides and cyclic dipeptides. For example, alanine dipeptide is a dipeptide formed by condensation of L-alanine and L-glutamate; Carnosine is produced by β- Dipeptide composed of alanine and L-histidine. Cyclic (histidine proline) dipeptide can be hydrolyzed from corn protein. It is a cyclic dipeptide formed by the cyclization of L-histidine and L-proline.
