Description

Calcium lactate is a salt that consists of two lactate anions for each calcium cation (Ca2+).

It is prepared commercially by the neutralization of lactic acid with calcium carbonate or

calcium hydroxide.

White to off-white crystalline powder or granule. It’s almost indorous. It slightly weathers in

dry air. It’s very soluble in hot water and pH value of the solution is 6.0-7.0. it’s almost

insoluble in ethanol. It has high absorption rate and good solubility, so it can be easily

absorbed.
